Getting a quote is the first step in our straightforward process. Next, you'll apply online. Enter your information, submit your beneficiaries’ names and designate the percentage each beneficiary is to receive. What comes next?

1. We’ll Talk

A Protective Life representative will call you at your convenience to conduct a 20-minute medical history phone interview.

2. Medical Examination

You will then schedule a routine life insurance physical examination. No need to make a trip to the doctor – a medical representative will come to you. Some applicants may be eligible to obtain coverage without a full medical exam.⁴

3. Underwriting Review

Protective Life will review the information on your application and the results of your medical exam.⁴

4. Finalize Your Policy

Once your application and underwriting are complete, Protective Life will notify you. You'll receive all documentation electronically – file it away with your other important documents and notify your beneficiaries.

Please keep in mind that depending on your medical history and exam results, medical records or additional underwriting requirements may be required. This process generally takes a few weeks.
