The issues of health care for women in the article “Medical alert” really struck a chord with me. For the last few weeks, I have been doing a lot of online genealogical research and have been shocked and saddened by the number of women who died during childbirth—usually along with their babies. Add to that the number of children who died at very early ages and you can better appreciate the advances we have made in treatment since then.

Endometriosis
Thank you for the article “Don’t suffer alone” [March 2022]. Endometriosis can be difficult to diagnose, so be persistent with your doctor. Get a second opinion if necessary. You don’t need to suffer with the pain!

Costco crafter
I love the March Connection article “Elements of supplies” on Ingrid Dijkers. What a great way to upcycle boxboard. The picture of her getting boxboard from beneath the Kirkland Signature™ Bath Tissue is precious. It gives the whole pandemic tissue issue a different slant.

Farm to Table
Great job this March, providing so many Farm to Table recipes! I’ve tried three so far, and they were all great. The Triple Berry Muffins were my favorite! I look forward to trying the rest. For this “flexitarian,” all these wonderful recipes made me very happy. I appreciate Costco’s commitment to providing such high-quality, farm-fresh food. Thank you!

Pass the pesto!
In our house we use pesto in the same ways as the article in the Costco Connection [“Pesto is best-o,” March 2022]. In late summer we harvest our homegrown basil and make pesto, freezing small containers of it. When the freezer supply runs out, we switch to the Kirkland Signature© Pesto, which is every bit as good. Being a longtime member, I always read the Connection because I get at least one good idea out of every issue.
